As announced on Dundalk FM this evening, Worklink North East will be hosting a FREE CV Workshop and a FREE CV Clinic in O' Fiaich College, Dundalk on the 4th and 11th of March respectively.
Whether you are a regular runner or a first-time entrant, the Flora Women's Mini Marathon is a wonderful event to be a part of. For the past ten years, women have been running, jogging and walking 10km through Dublin City to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and have raised millions for charity in the process! Registration is now open for this year's race which takes place on the June Bank Holiday Monday.
The past year has been a particularly busy one for Worklink, with the establishment of new partnerships and programmes in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork, Limerick and Galway - here are some of results of all the hard work put in by staff and volunteers over the last 12 months:

In addition to running our 6 week jobseekers course - the Worklink 'WorkOut' - in Dundalk, we now have a course up and running in Ballincollig, Cork! The purpose of this course is to get jobseekers 'Interview Fit' through an intensive 6 week programme that takes them right through from building a 'personal profile' and reviewing their CV to learning how to talk about their skills and interests at interview.
We hope to run this course again in the New Year and depending upon demand may roll it out to other areas around Cork City.
We are currently seeking a talented and driven individual with experience of managing volunteers to join our team. The Volunteer Coordinator will be a valued member of the team, and will act as the first point of contact with our volunteers and the general public, so excellent people and communications skills are a must! This position would best suit a person interested in helping to tackle unemployment, and preferably with some experience in recruitment, careers advice or social work.
On Friday the 18th October in partnership with the IE Network we are running a half day workshop on 'Career Directions'. Many jobseekers find themselves stuck because they are looking for the same job they've had before - these jobs may be scarce in the current market, or may never have suited them properly.
Worklink North-East are running a six week 'WorkOut' programme for unemployed people to get you "interview fit"! Come along to our Open Evening on Tues 15th
Worklink and JobCare are running an event for volunteers past, present and future on the 18th September 2013. The purpose of the event is to bring together volunteers and organisations who work with unemployed people, and to give an overview of the work being done by Worklink and JobCare respectively.
On the 21st August at we will be holding an information session for anyone interested in volunteering with us. We will be giving a general overview of Worklink and our programmes, followed by general discussion and light refreshments. The session will take place in Towers Watson, Trinity Point, South Leinster Street, D2,and will run from 18:30 - 20:00. If you would like to attend please email us - firstname.lastname@example.org
The Cork branch of Worklink in association with Really Useful Training and Development are holding a full-day career coaching session for jobseekers in Cork, with registration being open to all those currently unemployed in the South-East. The workshop will be run in two sessions covering topics such as CV review and enhancement, creating a Linkedin profile, and devising a 'personal action plan'. Please note that though this session is FREE, booking in advance is essential.
JobPlus provides a financial incentive to employers who recruit employees who are long term unemployed on the Live Register. There are two levels of incentives €7,500 to recruits unemployed for more than 12 months but less than 24 months and €10,000 for recruits unemployed for more than 24 months. This incentive will be payable monthly in arrears, over a two year period by the Department of Social Protection, and will be available to apply for through the Jobsplus website from the 1st July 2013
