Volunteers

Worklink volunteers will come from a variety of backgrounds but are perhaps likely to come with human resources, professional and/or business skills and will probably have experience in related areas.

We will help match the time availability, professional skills and work preferences of each volunteer to the services required by specific employers and jobseeker groups. We operate a very flexible approach to participation based on individual volunteer background and time availability

Volunteer company advisors work with interested employers to identify potential job placement opportunities and source appropriate programmes from relevant State and other bodies, as well as suitable candidates for those placements. Worklink company advisor volunteers will support employers to source and select suitable candidates and will advise on best practice to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the placement.

Volunteer career coaches provide practical information and skills to jobseekers by working with organisations and groups that help jobseekers through localised and individual support. Worklink coaches participate in various information, training and coaching activities and events as requested by the organising groups or agencies to prepare jobseekers for employment or job placement opportunities.

We engage other Worklink volunteers who wish to contribute their particular services and skills to the jobs agenda and Worklink’s objectives e.g. in marketing, sectoral leadership, research, training etc.
