Worklink volunteers will come from a variety of backgrounds but most typically come from the fields of Human Resources, Recruitment, Training and Career Coaching. The majority of our members are accredited professionals holding membership of either the CIPD or a professional coaching body.
We will help match the time availability, professional skills and work preferences of each volunteer to the services required by specific employers and jobseeker groups. We operate a very flexible approach to participation, and volunteers choose how much time, when and how they want to contribute to our work.
Worklink coaches participate in various information, training and coaching activities including running workshops, CV advice sessions, Mock interviews and one to one career coaching for the long-term unemployed. We also work with partner organisations to add capacity to their programmes - some of our partners in Dublin include JobCare, Dress for Success and the IE Network.
If you do not currently hold a Coaching qualification and up to date membership of a professional body, but would still like to use your experience in business and recruitment to benefit people, there is lots you can do! We run workshops for unemployed jobseekers, 6 week courses aimed at getting the 'job ready', and from March onwards we will be looking for mentors to work with young people aged 18 - 24 to get involved with our 'Steps Ahead' programme.
