The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
The CIPD and its members have been a major driving force behind the Worklink initiative. The CIPD is globally the largest chartered HR professional body with the aim to drive sustained organisational performance through HR by: Shaping Thinking, Leading Practice, Building HR Capability. The CIPD is setting the global benchmark for HR excellence within the profession with 135,000 members in 120 countries and offices in London (Head Office), Dublin – CIPD Ireland (5,400 members) and newly established office in Singapore – CIPD Asia.
Skillnets is a state funded, enterprise-led support body dedicated to the promotion and facilitation of training and upskilling as key elements in sustaining Ireland’s national competitiveness. Skillnets supports and funds networks of enterprises to engage in training that is led and managed by the enterprises themselves to deliver specific training programmes across a broad range of industry and service sectors nationwide.
Skillnets networks are now also providing training to job-seekers, who are training with those in employment. By training with those in employment, job-seekers can access networking opportunities and keep up to date with their sector while participating in relevant industry-specific training programmes
Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed (INOU)
The INOU is a federation of unemployed people, unemployed centres, unemployed groups, community organisations and Trade Unions. The organisation works at local and national levels on issues relating to unemployment.
Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association (ISME)
ISME is the independent organisation for the Irish small & medium business sector, with in excess of 8,500 members nationwide and offers a comprehensive range of Advisory Services and Publication, Independent Lobbying and Representation, Cost Saving Schemes, Training and Development Programmes, and Regional Networking Events designed to enhance the day-to-day running of members’ businesses. The tax-deductible membership is a cost-effective way for SME owner/managers to network with like-minded business people and to be continually updated on issues that impact on their business.
Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC)
IBEC is the national voice of business and employers and is the umbrella body for Ireland’s leading sector groups and associations. IBEC represents the interests of business in Ireland and provides a wide range of direct services to its 7,500 members, which range from the very small to the largest enterprises, employing over 70% of the private sector workforce in Ireland.
